YEARLING Auction

Sunday, MAY 17, 2009

All birds should be in cages by 11:00 a.m.

AUCTION AT NOON!

Lunch will be provided by the Club

1. All birds placed in exhibition cages must be in good visible health. 2. Breeders may enter as many birds as they wish. Eligible birds must have a seamless AU/IF 2009 Band.

3. Each Breeder pays $15.00 per bird and guarantees a minimum $30.00 opening bid per bird placed in the Auction.

The $15.00 will be refunded back if breeder buys his bird back. If breeder does not buy his bird the $15.00 goes into the pot.

4. A Breeder may buyback any or all of his birds before the Auction for $125 each. . All other rules apply. All buyback birds must be physically inspected by a member of the WSJ Auction Race Committee at the time of buyback.

5. Only members of the WSJ, Pigeon Club may act as a Flyer of Auction birds.

6. All youngsters placed in the Auction MUST BE OF WEANING AGE (fully covered under the wing) AND CAN NOT HAVE DROPPED ANY FLIGHTS.

  1. All BIRDS BECOME THE property of THE Buyer UPON FULL PAYMENT OF THE FINAL AUCTION PRICE.

8 All birds will be shipped from the WSJ, Club House.

9 Clocks will be set and read at the WSJ, Club House.

10 A minimum payment of 50% is required at the time of sale. The balance must be paid by June 1, 2008. FAILURE TO PAY THE FULL AMOUNT BY THE DUE DATE WILL RESULT IN A 10% PER WEEK PENALTY AND/OR DISQUALIFICATION AT THE DISCRETION OF THE RACE COMMITTEE.

11 Payout: Breeder 1/3 Buyer 1/3 Flyer 1/3

(Any Breeder, who fails to purchase at least 1 bird, will have his payout reduced to 10%.)

12. Prizes: 1st - 20%

2nd - 15%

3d - 10%

4th - 8%

5th - 7%

6 - 10th - 5%

11 - 15th - 3%.

13 The race will be flown from 350-400 station. Auction birds will be released ½ hr. later as a separate release with the BCC Race Birds.

14. The Yearling Auction Race is a fund raiser for WSJ. WSJ will retain 15% of the Auction proceeds and actual out of pocket expenses directly related to the Yearling Auction Race.

15. All Yearling Auction participants will conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner.

  1. All disputes will be settled by the members of the WSJ YB Auction Race Committee.
  2. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST sign the WSJ rules agreement before birds are placed in exhibition cages, PLACING ANY BID OR ACCEPTING ANY BIRD TO FLY.
